Prepares, analyzes, and coordinates the long-range financial goals and monthly financial forecast for Target Finance and Retail Services (FRS). Responsible for communication with senior leadership at FRS on financial performance projections. Leads/participates in ad-hoc/project analyses intended to optimize financial performance of REDcards as well as provide insight into current business trends.

1. Develop, maintain, and improve analytical models that support the financial performance forecast and goals for Finance and Retail Services (FRS). This includes improving and maintaining the current reporting and forecasting models used by the Financial Goals and Forecasting team
- Analyze and forecast financial performance for all credit card portfolios and/or REDcard debit, GiftCard, and paper check performance
- Communicate and report on trends, forecasts, and long-range planning assumptions to FRS management and HQ Finance. Note any financial risks and opportunities for the business
- Understand and explain variances to the financial forecast and goal as well as prior years
2. Maintain close relationships with all FRS departments to enhance understanding of the business drivers impacting FRS financial performance. Analyze and communicate impact of these drivers on current and future financial performance
3. Collaborate with FRS departments to complete ad hoc analyses of changes to REDcard business strategies. Communicate analysis results to FRS leadership and departments as needed to support key business decisions
4. Become proficient with software packages to analyze and segment guest account data
REQUIREMENTS:
- Four year college degree (Business, Accounting or Finance)
- 3-5 years Finance experience
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- MBA and project management experience preferred
