Prepares, analyzes and coordinates the long-range goals and monthly forecast for Financial and Retail Services as it relates to sales on Target Visa and Target Credit Card and also Gift Card Breakage and performance. Responsible for communication with senior leadership at Financial and Retail Services on financial performance projections. Participates/leads in a variety of special analyses intended to optimize financial performance of credit card portfolios and understanding of the gift card business.

- Develop, maintain, and improve analytical models that support the forecast and goals for Finance and Retail Services (FRS). This includes current reporting and forecasting models used by the Financial Goals and Forecasting team. In addition, lead ad hoc analysis of credit business trends to support FRS strategic decisions
- Analyze performance for all receivable portfolios. Provide analytical support to FRS management and HQ Finance
- Analyze the Credit Card Segment performance monthly to understand trends, risks and opportunities for the business. Understand and explain variances to forecast, goal and prior years
- Become proficient with software packages to analyze and segment guest account data
- Maintain close relationships with all FRS departments to enhance understanding of the FRS operating performance
- Provide analytical support for the Strategic Analysis, Accounting, Product Design, Collections, and Risk Management areas as needed
Requirements
- 4 year college degree and/or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
- 5 years of analytical experience
- Proven strong analytical skills
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency with Excel and database software.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work independently with strong problem solving and prioritization skills
